If you’ve been with me for a while, you know that home has always been my favorite subject—creating it, designing it, reimagining it, photographing it, and, yes, writing about it. After taking a little breather to reset, dream, and rebuild, I’m thrilled to finally welcome you to my newest project: All Things Home.

This magazine has lived in my head and heart for years, growing into something that felt bigger than a single section of content or a simple collection of pretty houses. I wanted to create a place that didn’t just show beautiful homes but celebrated the creativity, personality, and real-life stories that make them meaningful. A place where we can talk about everything that fills the walls we live within—DIY projects, cooking, organization, art, books, family traditions, and the rhythm of daily life that makes a house feel alive.

All Things Home is the culmination of all of that.A magazine built from scratch by someone who is, admittedly, happiest when elbows-deep in a design file, a story draft, or a home project that was supposed to take an afternoon and somehow turned into a weekend.

Who I Am

I’m Abby Shoen—graphic designer, magazine creator, collector of creative hobbies, and someone who has always loved making things feel intentional and beautiful. I’ve been designing magazines for years, but this one is my own baby. I write it, design it, plan it, photograph it, and somehow manage to squeeze it between raising kids, keeping up with our farm life, and working on my own projects.

I’ve always been a little artsy, a little scrappy, and very curious. My hope is that those parts of me show up in every page and every post—through approachable design ideas, honest storytelling, and inspiration that feels doable no matter what your home looks like.

What You’ll Find Here

This blog (and the magazine behind it) will become a place for:

  • Home tours — local spaces, creative makeovers, and homes with personality

  • DIY projects — big ones, small ones, and the “I didn’t plan this, but here we are” kind

  • Cooking & baking — real recipes for real families, with a few pretty extras

  • Organizing tips — because we all need a little help keeping life in order

  • Art & creativity — from décor ideas to projects you can try

  • Reading & family life — the heart of the home that often gets overlooked

  • Seasonal inspiration — moods, colors, décor, and traditions we love

  • And honestly? Anything else that falls under the very big umbrella of home.

Why This Matters

Home is personal. It’s where we raise our kids, build our dreams, make messes, start over, try again, and find small ways to make everyday life feel a little more beautiful. My hope is that All Things Home becomes a source of inspiration andcomfort—a place you check in with when you’re searching for ideas, or when you simply want to enjoy a good story and a beautiful space.

This is a community-driven magazine, too. I want to feature real homes, real projects, and real people from our area. So if you—or someone you know—has a space that deserves the spotlight, I want to see it.

A New Chapter Begins

Thank you for being here at the start of this adventure. Whether you flip through the magazine, follow along on social media, or pop into the blog for a little inspiration, I’m grateful to have you in this growing All Things Home family.

Here's to creating, dreaming, and celebrating the spaces we call home. I’m so happy to welcome you in.

Abby
